Private Label and OEM Organic Tea Manufacturing

We pack your blend, your weight and your bag style under your own brand — or develop a signature blend with our master blender if you do not have a recipe yet. Here is what the programme looks like from brief to loaded container.

Four ways buyers work with us

  • Wholesale — standard SKUs in bulk, our packing, your label applied at destination if you prefer.
  • OEM — you bring the recipe or a reference sample; we match it, pack it in your format and print your artwork.
  • ODM — no recipe yet: our blender develops three directions from a taste brief, you pick one and we lock it.
  • Private label retail — finished consumer units: tins, pouches, tea bags and gift boxes, labelled and compliant for your market.

The eight-week programme

Private-label work is scheduled in weeks, not months. The clock starts when artwork and recipe are both approved:

Week What happens
1Brief: market, volume, price band, packaging direction, reference products
2Quotation (FOB per kg), sample dispatch, artwork template sent
3–4Recipe locked, artwork proofed, packaging materials ordered
5–6Blending and packing; pre-production sample couriered for sign-off
7Production run, in-line weight and seal checks
8QC, COA, organic transaction certificate, container loaded

What we need from you

  1. A reference sample or a written taste brief (liquor colour, strength, aroma, price band)
  2. Volume per SKU and how many SKUs in the first order
  3. Packaging format and finish: tin, pouch, carton, tea bag, or bulk
  4. Artwork in AI or PDF, or our designer can build it from your brand assets
  5. Market compliance notes: EU, UK, US, Japan, or GCC labelling rules

If artwork is not ready, we can start production on neutral bulk packing and apply labels in a second run — useful when a retail listing lands before the design does.

MOQ and what drives the price

Minimum order is 1,000 kg per SKU for bulk; printed retail formats start at 3,000 units per design. Four things move the per-kilo number:

  • Leaf grade — whole leaf costs more than broken grades; golden-tip lots more than plain leaf
  • Blending — single-origin is cheaper than a multi-origin recipe held to a fixed taste profile
  • Packaging — a printed tin can cost more than the tea inside it; kraft pouches are the cheapest retail route
  • Volume and schedule — one large run beats three small ones, and off-peak slots are cheaper

Label compliance we handle for you

Organic claims are the most common reason a container is held at the border. We check each artwork against the market it is going to:

  • Correct organic logo and certifier code for EU 2018/848, USDA NOP or China Organic
  • Ingredient and allergen statement, net weight, lot and best-before format
  • Origin wording that matches the certificate (Hubei, China — not a generic "product of Asia")
  • Nutrition declaration in the units your market requires
  • Recycling and packaging material marks where the market demands them

OEM questions

Can you match a competitor blend? We can match a taste profile, not a proprietary recipe. Send a sample and we will return three directions with per-kilo pricing.

Who owns the recipe? You do, once the development fee is settled. We do not resell a locked recipe to another buyer.

Can we use our own packaging supplier? Yes — ship the material to us, or we can quote against your supplier's spec to compare landed cost.

Start with a sample and a price band

Send your market, volume and packaging direction. You get three blend directions, a per-kilo FOB figure and the label checklist for your market.
